Pocket Sized New Testament Printed in 1856

This is a pocket sized edition of the New Testament printed in London, England in 1856. The pocket edition New Testament measure 2 3/4" wide and 3 3/4" tall. This small, faded brown leather bound testament is in good condition. On the spine in gold lettering is the word TESTAMENT. It was printed in 1856 in London by G. E. Eyre and W. Spottiswoode, printers to the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, WAREHOUSE, 180, FLEET STREET. There is no writing in pencil or ink, anywhere that I can see. The gold leaf pages are in good condition and are easily read. This small testament would make a nice addition to your Civil War era personal effect or camp display.
