This is Volume 1 of a 2 volume set of the official report of the Adjutant General of the state of Maine for the years 1864 and 1865. The narrative is 1328 pages, it was published in 1866 by Augusta: Stevens & Sayward, printers for the state of Maine and is not illustrated. This volume covers anything and everything that pertained to the military units from the state of Maine during the last tow years of the war. It is filled with unit rosters, casualty lists, officer appointments, promotions, cause of death by unit and many other interesting facts. This book would make a very valuable resource tool for those that collect or study Maine units from the Civil War. This 154 year old book is in very good condition for it's age.
