This is a pair of late 1800's stirrups with foul weather guards and leather straps. They are bent oak stirrups that measure 7" tall, 6 1/2" at the widest point and have treads that are 3 3/4" wide. Both wooden stirrpus are in very good condition, having no cracks or splits. The foul weather guards are made of russet leather and nailed to the stirrups with a variety of small and medium sized round nails. Each stirrup still has the leather strap attached to it. The straps measure 1 1/8" wide and are approximately 50" in length. Each strap has a roller buckle attached to by means of iron brads. The leather straps are still very flexible. If you've got an old saddle for the 1890's to around 1920 that needs a set of stirrups, these are the ones!
