This book has an introduction by John M. Carroll, published in 1985, the narrative is 40 pages and is illustrated with black and white drawings. The names listed in this book were compiled by the Adjutant and Inspector General's Office of Richmond, Virginia during the Civil War. This register was refined from General Orders No. 64 and No. 131. The names of the soldiers that were elected to the Confederate Roll of Honor were done so by their peers. Listed in this book, by battle, by state, by regiment, are the names and ranks of the men though worthy of so being honored by their fellow soldiers. This hard back book is in very good condition, it does not have a dust jacket.
