This book was published by the Kent State University Press, edited by John T. Hubbell, published in 1985, the narrative is 73 pages and is not illustrated. Civil War History is in it's seventh decade as the leading "scholarly journal of the "middle period". It covers the entire scope of the American Civil War era, from the beginning of the sectional crisis through Reconstruction and beyond, highlighting the ramification of warfare on society.
