This book was written by Walbrook D. Swank, published in 1992, the narrative is 74 pages and is illustrated with black and white photos. Train Running For the Confederacy is a memoir written by railroad man Carter S. Anderson, a little over twenty years after the war. His experiences with the Virginia Central Railroad, which ran from Richmond to Staunton, enabled him to write of the trials and tribulations of the daily activities of the train men. They moved troops to battle, brought back the wounded, and hauled food and supplies to a hungry and equipment starved army as best they could under severe conditions. This paper book is in very good, used condition.
