It was published in 1996, the narrative is 836 pages and is illustrated with black and white artwork. This book is a must for any Civil War library. The Harper's Pictorial history of the Civil War gives contemporary accounts and illustrations from the greatest magazine of the time, with 1000 scenes, maps, plans and portraits by Guernsey and Alden. This hardback book is in very good, used condition with a dust jacket that is in very good condition.
