New York Militia Staff Officer Cuff Button

This is a non excavated New York Excelsior staff officer's cuff button from the Civil War. The button is of a two piece design. The button has been made into a cuff link. The back mark is unfamiliar to me, there are ten stars stamped around the edge. The majority of the gilt remains on the button. The shank has been removed and a post added in it's place. This is a cool little piece to complete your button collection!
