This is the twenty first book in a series of 28 that covers the American Civil War. It describes the Confederate strategy after General Sherman captured Atlanta, explains the reasons behind Sherman's march to the sea and recounts the fall of Savannah. This book is part of a series on the Civil War published by Time Life Books with a publication date of 1983. The gray cover with blue lettering make this a visually appealing book. As with all of the Time Life series books, this one is very well written and informative. The narrative is 169 pages, broken into 5 chapters. The book is illustrated with colored drawings and painting as well as black and white period images. This book will make a nice gift for the beginning Civil War collector, or a replacement for the one book you're missing from this series!
