This is a set of four non excavated Eagle buttons from the Indian Wars period. These two piece buttons are cuff size and have an American eagle on the face. The back marks are from Horstmann and A. Thomas. The faces are dent free, no mars or blemishes. The eagles are facing to the right, clutching a laurel branch in the right talon and three arrows in the left talon. In the center of the eagle is a plain shield. The majority of the gilt remains, being worn off in the raised areas of the eagle. The shanks are all still present, two of them still have pieces of cloth in them.
