Massachusetts Militia Button

This is a non excavated Massachusetts militia coat size button from the Civil War. The button is of a two piece design with a border. The back mark is of "D. EVANS & CO. ATTELBORO MASS". The majority of the gilt remains on the button. The shank is still reporting for duty and standing tall. There is even a small piece of cloth on the shank! A nice piece to complete your button collection, or maybe the final piece you need to complete a restored Civil War coat from the state of Massachusetts.
