This book was researched, compiled and published by Reader's Digest with a publication date of 1996. The red cover with black lettering make this a visually appealing book. The paper dust jacket is a little tired, but the book itself is in almost mint condition. As with all of the Reader's Digest books, this one is very well written and informative. The narrative is 379 pages, broken into 11 chapters. The book is illustrated with numerous colored drawings, black and white as well as color photographs. The hard back book measures 12 1/4" x 9 1/2". This makes a great reference book for the early Native American collector.
