This is a piece of Americana from the 1920's - 1930's. The little tin dancer went on a wind up box and danced a "jig". This one was most likely made by the Marks Brothers toy company out of Boston, Massachusetts. He is in a little bit of distress, missing both arms and the lower sections of his legs! The colors on his outlandish checkered suit are still in great condition though. If you collect tin toys from the early 1900's you can use this little guy to finish a project dancing Jigger!
