This is a Victorian "aide memorie" from the 1800's. It measures 3 1/2" tall and 1 1/2" wide. Normally these have the seven days of the week, sometimes just six, printed on a celluloid sheet to jot down reminders for the week. This one has all seven days plus seven additional sheets. The Metal cover has the word Memo etched at the top and a Fleur-de-lis emblem on the bottom left corner. There is a small writing implement attached to a chain that is stored on the back piece. These little "day planners" were carried by a lot of officers during the Civil War.
