This is a Belgian made 7mm pinfire revolver made circa mid 1800's. This beautiful little revolver measures 7 1/4" overall, with a 3 1/4" barrel. The entire gun is nickel plated, with exception of the rosewood grips. The octagonal barrel has a bore that is bright and shows good rifling. Intricate, yet simply engraving is found on the top barrel flat, cylinder, frame and back strap. The only markings on the gun are found on the cylinder and right side barrel flat just above the ejector rod. The barrel has a star over the letter K. The cylinder bears the same stamp, along with the definitive Liege proofmark, the letter E over LG over a star within an oval. This proofmark was used from February 1811 through July 1893. I believe the other stamp to be an inspector's proofmark. The loading gate is found on the right side of the frame and locks securely in the closed position. The mechanics of this pinfire work perfectly as a single or double action revolver. The grips are rosewood and are tightly checkered. There is only a small amount of wear at the bottoms of these tight fitting grips. This is a folding trigger pinfire that would look great in any pistol collection.
