Dale Earnhardt Sr. 1:24 Scale K-2 1956 Ford Victoria
Item #: AA1060
This is a 1:24 scale diecast car made by the Action company of Dale Earnhardt Sr's # K-2 1956 Ford Victoria. This was the first car Dale Earnhardt raced. He drove for David Oliver, owner of the pink six cylinder powered machine. This paint scheme follows along the lines of another famous paint color. It seems that the car had a metal flake apricot colored roof, so the decision was made to paint the rest of the car the same color. After the car was painted and it dried the color turned out to be pink, and like most start up race teams they didn't have enough money to repaint the car. So that's how Dale Earnhardt, the Intimidator, the Man in Black, started out his driving career in a pink car! That other famous color story relates to a team who didn't have enough of the same color to paint their car, so they mixed up all they had on hand and used it. That color has come to be known as Petty Blue! The car is precision engineered by Action, a leader in the NASCAR collecting industry. The body and chassis are all diecast. The hood opens to reveal a very detailed engine bay complete with an inline 6 cylinder engine. The body features superior graphics, detailed sponsorship and associate sponsor decals. The interior of the car is fully detailed, showing the dash, instrumentaion, shifter, and roll cage. The dimensions of the car are 8 3/4" by 3 1/8" by 2". The car will come in the original Action performance box. The original packaging comes with the car, the box being in good condition. This paint scheme is highly sought after, and if you collect Dale Earnhardt Sr diecast your collection isn't complete without this one!
