This is an early 1900's German Fire Fighter's jacket from the late WWI through the Wiemar Republic era. The worsted wool jacket is approximately a size 40 and is in very good condition. The six button single breasted opening has all six gilted buttons, each back marked "EXTRA FEIN". On the front the buttons depict crossed fireman's axes with an early 1900's fireman's helmet centered above the axes. All six buttons retain the majority of the gilt. There is no makers label sewn into the jacket, or any names or ink marks anywhere. The jacket has two outer pockets and one inner pocket sewn into the left breast. The condition of the jacket is very good, having no moth holes or damage of any kind. The top inside edge of the collar shows wear from use and the hanger strap is broken, but that's it! On each epaulette is a shoulder board of pink and silver. The collar has red piping. The jacket is fully lined, to include the sleeves. If you have a German Fireman's helmet this will jacket will really compliment it.
