This is a 1:24 scale diecast car made by the Action company of Dale Earnhardt Sr's #15 Wrangler Jeans sponsored Thunderbird. Wrangler sponsored Dale Sr during the two years, 1982 and 1983, that he drove for Bud Moore. During the 1982 season Earnhardt scored only one victory while he had 15 DNF's and finished 12th in the points. That would be the lowest he ever finished in the points standings. The 1983 season was much improved, starting the season with a Twin 125 win, the first of 12 to come. He finished the 83 season with two wins and placed 8th in the points. The car is precision engineered by Action, a leader in the NASCAR collecting industry and is one of 10,008 made. The body and chassis are all diecast. The hood opens to reveal a very detailed engine bay complete with 358 C.I engine, steering and suspension components. The body features superior graphics, detailed sponsorship and associate sponsor decals, the disctinctive Dale Earnhardt signature along the roof line and the number 15 he drove. The windows are black, so there is no interior detail. The key for the bank is still present. The dimensions of the car are 8 3/4" by 3 1/8" by 2". The car will come in a styro-foam packed Action performance box. This is not the original box that the car came in. This is not one of the more common Earnhardt Sr diecast collectibles.
